Account Director – IMC
Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Account Director – IMC is responsible for leading strategic client accounts, driving integrated marketing communication campaigns, and ensuring business growth through strong client relationship management, campaign strategy, and cross-functional execution. This role acts as the key strategic partner for clients, translating business objectives into impactful IMC solutions across online, offline, content, influencer, social commerce, media, and activation channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Management & Strategic Partnership
- Act as the main strategic contact for key clients and build long-term trusted relationships.
- Understand clients' business objectives, brand direction, target audience, and commercial goals.
- Provide strategic recommendations and integrated communication solutions that support client growth.
- Lead client meetings, business reviews, campaign presentations, and performance discussions.
- Manage client expectations and ensure high client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
2. IMC Strategy & Campaign Planning
- Develop integrated marketing communication strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Lead the planning of end-to-end campaigns across social media, influencer marketing, content, live commerce, media, PR, activation, and e-commerce-related channels.
- Work closely with Strategy, Creative, Media, Influencer, Production, Live, and E-commerce teams to create strong campaign proposals.
- Ensure campaign concepts, communication messages, and execution plans are consistent with brand positioning.
- Identify opportunities to expand campaign scope and propose new business solutions to clients.
3. Account Growth & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth from existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and proactive business opportunities.
- Identify client pain points and propose suitable solutions to increase account value.
- Manage account revenue targets, profitability, and commercial performance.
- Support new business pitching, proposal development, and presentation to prospective clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify business opportunities.
4. Project Leadership & Internal Coordination
- Lead internal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution from briefing to delivery.
- Oversee project timeline, deliverables, budget, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Ensure all teams clearly understand client requirements, campaign objectives, and execution standards.
- Manage escalations and resolve issues with practical and timely solutions.
- Ensure campaign delivery meets agreed scope, timeline, and performance expectations.
5. Performance Management & Reporting
- Review campaign performance, key metrics, and business outcomes with internal teams and clients.
- Provide insights, learnings, and recommendations for campaign optimization.
- Ensure reports are accurate, meaningful, and aligned with client business objectives.
- Track account performance, revenue achievement, margin, and client satisfaction.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead, guide, and develop Account Managers / Account Executives within the IMC team.
- Provide coaching on client servicing, strategic thinking, communication, and project management.
- Foster ownership, accountability, and collaboration within the team.
- Support team capability building and ensure high-quality account management standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communication Arts, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Account Management, IMC, Advertising Agency, Digital Agency, Brand Marketing, or related fields.
- Proven experience managing large-scale campaigns and key client accounts.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing communication, digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, content, and campaign execution.
- Experience in e-commerce, social commerce, TikTok Shop, live commerce, or consumer brands is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and client management skills.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
